Sugar Easter Eggs

Holidays

These delightful eggs used to be around Easter time. I remember my Nanna giving me one at Easter time. I loved looking at the egg. A few years ago I started making them. There a lot of fun to make. Panoramic sugar eggs are made with edible ingredients but not intended to be eaten.

INGREDIENTS

  • Granuladed sugar
  • Food color
  • Egg whites
  • A large panoramic egg  mold
  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar

DIRECTIONS

in a large bowl add granulated sugar, Measure the sugar by pouring it into each of the egg molds. Pour the granulated sugar into a large bowl. Once you have decided what color to make you egg add a few drops of food coloring to a cup of water. One teaspoon at a time add the colored water to the sugar. Mix the water with a fork in the sugar. The sugar should start to look like wet sand after adding three teaspoons of water. Once the sugar hold together when you press on it with a spoon you can start to add it to the molds. Load the sugar into the mold and press it into the mold. Pack the sugar in ..but not too hard.
